FINAL FINAL blog post

Although it was a bit daunting to be following up on a plan each week, it forced me to think about my plan and how it would follow through. As I followed my game plan each week I learned that I should always think about what could go wrong, as it just might go wrong.
Also in following through with my game plan, I created graphic organizers in order to take effective notes at two professional development days. Those graphic organizers proved to be great at those professional development days. I learned so much!!! As a result of so much learning while I attended those two days, I feel that I am more equipped to follow out my game plan as next year commences. I will be able to create creativity in lessons and more authentic learning in labs using the web 2.0 tools that I learned both in this course and at the professional development. I am now fully equipped to utilize wallwisher, wordle, voicethread, delicious, and glogster. I am also familiar with goanimate, animoto, blabberize, prezi, and extranormal.

  1. Christine,
I liked your description of "Final Final" blog post, very funny. I also agree that keeping up with the game plan was a lot of work and perhaps we were doing it during a bad time of the school year, although your ideas of using development days and graphic organizers for your GAME plan was a great idea. I often leave my staff development days feeling like they were a huge waste of time, so good for you! I am full of new ideas to use as well although I look forward to using them they can definitely wait until summer is over!

  2. Christine,
Yes, I must say I found myself laughing at your title of your final blog. There were times I also found it quite daunting also. But you are right, it did force us into keeping an open mind and checking and rechecking ourselves. There many times in faculty meetings I make lists of things that I would find so much more beneficial....maybe someday someone will ask me for that list! Keep up the good work.

  3. Christine,

I couldn't agree more with your assessment about what could go wrong. My district has very limited access to technology so it will be very important to have a back-up plan as I attempt to incorporate new technology. The technology that we do have is good, but I have to sign up for it a decade in advance. I have also encountered several hook up problems with the airports as I teach in the basement. All challenges that will need to be met as I move forward with my plan. Good luck...
